Jeffrey Rothschild – Estimated Net Worth Today: $2.7B.

Jeffrey J. Rothschild has had a 40-year career as an entrepreneur, engineer and technology investor. 

He made his fortune at Facebook, which he joined in 2005 as vice president of infrastructure engineering.

He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Vanderbilt University in 1977 and 1979, respectively.

Before Facebook, Rothschild co-founded Veritas Software, which was sold to Symantec in 2004 for $13.5 billion in stock.

Rothschild is listed as a co-inventor on several MPath patents.

Jeff’s philanthropic and impact investment areas include medical research, scholarships for disadvantaged students, open space preservation, a shoe company in Guatemala, and an ophthalmologic hospital and a dairy cooperative in Kenya.

In March 2018, Rothschild joined the board of Pure Storage, a Mountain View, Calif.-based data storage company
