John Sall – Estimated Net Worth Today: $3.7B.

John Sall is the founder of JMP Statistical Discovery LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAS.

Prior to leading JMP, Sall joined Jim Goodnight and two others in 1976 to establish SAS.

The goal of JMP, Sall said, is to make statistical modelling as friendly, accessible and informative as possible, and to increase the efficiency of experimentation.

Sall is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the world’s largest general scientific society.

He is also a former member of The Nature Conservancy Africa Advisory Council and the Friends of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences board.

Sall earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Beloit College and a master’s degree in economics from Northern Illinois University (NIU). Both NIU and NC State awarded him an honorary doctorate.
