Theranos claimed that its technology could detect various diseases and conditions accurately, quickly, and at a lower cost compared to traditional methods. However, in 2015, investigations and subsequent legal issues led to significant doubts about the accuracy and reliability of their technology. In 2018, Theranos dissolved, and Elizabeth Holmes faced charges related to fraud and misleading investors.
