Abstract

New strains ofwhich can be used as probiotics in dairy products and which are characterized in surviving the gastrointestinal passage and giving a palatable cheese product when used as an adjunct in cheese manufacturing. The invention especially refers to the new strains8700:2, DSM 13434, and02A, DSM 13432. The invention also refers to dairy food products, such as cheese, containing said strains.
