Abstract
A semiconductor component () has a semiconductor chip () and a semiconductor component carrier () with external connection strips (). The semiconductor chip () has a first electrode () and a control electrode () on its top side () and a second electrode () on its rear side (). The semiconductor chip () is fixed by its top side () in flip-chip arrangement () on a first and a second external connection strip () for the first electrode () and the control electrode ().
