Abstract
The invention relates to a controlled release tablet which in part or as a whole contains water-insoluble linear polysaccharides, preferably the polysaccharide poly(1,4-&agr;-D-glucan), in the form of microparticles, as retardation material. The tablet is also capable of controllably releasing an active agent.
