William Bryant Troutman, a Charlotte-based inventor, is among the most innovative people in the United States and a proud owner of 25 unique inventions. Troutman has had a significant impact in the tech industry and his ideas are in use in various aspects of day to day life.
One of his latest inventions, an automatic towel dispenser, is truly a game-changer. It has a motor assembly that is designed to extend the toweling from the housing, retract the unit, sense the leading edge of the toweling, and stop the retracting process upon sensing the leading edge of the toweling. The dispenser also has a line of perforations in the toweling to ease the user's task when tearing it.
Troutman's other creation is a towel dispenser that has a loading door that rotates relative to the main body, making it easier to reload the device. The interiors of the unit feature a curved surface that holds the roll of towels while the main body is mounted to a wall and the towels roll and slide on to it as they unwind. These features substantially reduce towel wastage while making the reloading process more effective.
Troutman has worked with many companies, including GPCP IP Holdings LLC and Innovia Intellectual Properties LLC. Among his colleagues are Ian Kovacevich and Thomas James Philpott, who have been instrumental in Troutman's success.
The above innovations demonstrate William Bryant Troutman’s excellent grasp of engineering and his keen eye for identifying problem areas that require innovative solutions. His inventions have significantly improved people's lives and productivity. It is exciting to see what new creation Troutman will come up with next, one that is sure to continue changing the world.
