Upon detecting paging DCI, it checks for scheduling information for the PDSCH. Based on the scheduling, the UE determines whether to receive and decode the PDSCH in a slot offset by N slots from the paging DCI.

A base station determines channel conditions for two or more carriers and encodes a dataset into protocol data units (PDUs) using fountain coding. It transmits subsets of the PDUs across the carriers. A user device receives the PDUs, decodes them with fountain coding, and retrieves the dataset.
