The plant has many desirable traits including vigorous plant growth, high yield, good resistance to rust () and good field tolerance toroot and crown rot caused byand. These desirable traits have been shown to be transmissible to its progenies. The invention relates to plants and plant parts of 'NJ977' plant. The invention further relates to hybridseeds and plants produced by crossing the male'NJ977' plant with any femaleplant.
