Abstract
The present invention relates to the expression and optimization of enzymes involved in the breakdown of lignocellulosic biomass. The present invention relates more specifically to variants ofendoglucanase II, and the use of said variants having an improved performance in methods of breaking down cellulose and producing biofuel.
