Abstract
A connector () and assembly of the same, the connector comprises an insulative housing () and a plurality of contacts () assembled onto the insulative housing (), the insulative housing () defining a mating surface () and a mounting surface () opposite to the mating surface (). Each contact () including a contact portion () arranged in the insulative housing () and a mounting portion () locating at the mounting surface () and protruding sidewardly beyond said insulative housing, the mounting portion () defines a soldering surface () for being soldered onto to said printed circuit board (), said soldering surface () face toward the mounting surface (). Therefore, when the connector () assembled to the printed circuit board (), we could make full use of the height space at the up and down direction of the printed circuit board (), thus greatly reducing the height space occupied by the connector ().
