Abstract

A light irradiation molding apparatusincludes a pair of rubber die unitsA andB, which are formed of a rubber material having a property of transmitting light X therethrough and form a cavity between facing sides which face each other, and a light irradiation means, which applies light X to a particulate or solid thermoplastic resinarranged in the cavitythrough surfaces of a pair of the rubber die unitsA andB. The light irradiation molding apparatusis constituted so that a pair of the rubber die unitsA andB are made to come close to each other while the thermoplastic resinarranged in the cavityis molten by the light X applied from the light irradiation means, and a molded articleof the thermoplastic resinis formed in the cavityhaving a reduced volume.
