Abstract
A polarizing plate includes at least: a polarizer layer containing a polyvinyl alcohol-based film dyed with iodine; and one or more other layers except for the polarizer layer, in which the polarizer layer contains a compound which has polyiodide ion Ireduction capability in iodide compound- and iodine-containing solutions, and at least one of the one or more other layers contain a compound which has polyiodide ion Iformation capability in an iodide compound-containing solution.
