Abstract

The invention provides novel compounds having the general formula (I) wherein R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, A, AAand n are as described herein, compositions including the compounds and methods of using the compounds. The compounds of the present invention are useful as inhibitors of aldosterone synthase. The compounds may be used, for example, in the treatment or prophylaxis of chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, primary aldosteronism and Cushing syndrome.
