An apparatusfor manufacturing trichlorosilane includes a decomposition furnaceinto which polymers and hydrogen chloride are introduced, the decomposition furnaceincludes: a heating devicewhich heats an interior of the decomposition furnace; a reaction chamberwhich is formed in the decomposition furnace; a center tubewhich is inserted in the reaction chamberalong a longitudinal direction of the reaction chamber and has a lower-end opening portion; raw-material-supply pipesandwhich supplies the polymer and the hydrogen chloride to the reaction chamberat an exterior of the center tube; and a gas-discharge pipewhich leads out reacted gas from the center tube, the apparatusfurther includes a finthat leads the polymer and the hydrogen chloride to the lower-end opening portionof the center tubeso as to stir the polymer and the hydrogen chloride.
