Abstract
Apparatuses and methods for field programming a private security key into a mobile station are described herein. The methods may include a server initially accepting in a wireless network a connection from a mobile station that is without a factory programmed subscriber identification module (SIM). The server may then collaborate with the mobile station to field program the mobile station with an international mobile subscriber identification (IMSI) and a private security key (K).
