Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure describe device, methods, computer-readable media and system configurations for establishing a reentry procedure for a machine-to-machine ('M2M') device to reenter a wireless communication network based on traffic pattern characteristics or mobility characteristics associated with the M2M device. In various embodiments, a wireless communication device may include a processor, a wireless communication interface, memory coupled to the processor, and a control module. The control module may be operated by the processor and configured to establish a reentry procedure for a machine-to-machine ('M2M') device to reenter a wireless communication network based on traffic pattern characteristics or mobility characteristics associated with the M2M device.
