Abstract
A reaction medium for the culture and/or detection and/or identification of bacteria of thegenus includes at least one siliceous compound, where the siliceous compound is a nonpolar silica. A method for detecting and/or identifying bacteria of thegenus, includes bringing a sample that may contain bacteria of thegenus into contact with a reaction medium comprising at least one siliceous compound, incubating, and detecting the presence of bacteria of thegenus.
