Abstract

A method () and apparatus () for cell detection in a wireless communication system may include acquiring (), using a transceiver, synchronization to first radio frame boundaries of a first physical channel from a cell. The method may include attempting to decode frames () of a second physical channel that has second radio frame boundaries that are a multiple of the first radio frame boundaries. The method may include performing () a cyclic redundancy check on the frames of the second physical channel. The method may include extracting () predictable information from a payload from frames that fail the cyclic redundancy check.
