Abstract

There are provided a photodiode, an inverting amplifierwhich includes an operational amplifierand a first resistor, a second resistorwhich has a smaller resistance value than the first resistorand which is inserted between the positive side of a power supply and the photodiode, a differential amplifierwhich outputs a voltage across both ends of the second resistor, and a diodewhich is connected between a ground and a connection point between the photodiodeand an inverting input terminal of the operational amplifierand which changes to a non-conductive state when the inverting amplifieris not saturated and changes to a conductive state when the inverting amplifieris saturated so that the output current of the photodiodeis bypassed.
