Abstract

Positive-working imageable elements can be imaged and developed to prepare imaged elements such as lithographic printing plates. The imageable elements including an imageable layer that has one or more alkaline soluble polymeric binders and a developability-enhancing compound that is represented by Structure (DEC) or (DEC) described herein that are organic compounds having at least one amino group and at least one carboxylic acid group in each molecule.
