Abstract
The present invention relates to soft surface coatings and absorbent articles comprising composite materials that are functionalized nanoparticles and in particular, metal-loaded nanoclays. In one embodiment, the metal is silver and the nanoparticle comprises a nanoclay. Silver ion is reduced to its neutral metal state (Ag) and loaded onto the nanoclay.
