Abstract
Methods and apparatus are provided for prescribed response precoding schemes for signal transmission in channels with intersymbol interference. An embodiment includes generating a prescribed feedback filter polynomial as the quotient of a feedback filter polynomial and a target polynomial to form a feedback filter in a precoder, where the target polynomial is a divisor of the feedback filter polynomial.
