Abstract
A display device () comprising a plurality of lighting units (), each lighting unit comprising at least one light emitting diode () being provided with a fluorescent element () arranged to absorb at least part of the light emitted by said light emitting diode and emit light of a wavelength range different from that of the absorbed light is provided.
