Abstract
The invention relates to a support structurefor mammography, comprising a standand an arm structureattached thereto. The support structurefurther comprises a scanner head coverattached to the arm structure. The scanner head covercomprises a vertical side portion, and is designed so that a cavityis formed between the vertical surface portionand a vertical partof the arm structure, whereby the cavityprovides space for an arm of a patient during imaging. A more comfortable posture is provided for a patient.
