Abstract

An intraocular lens of novel structure exhibiting an excellent focus adjusting power. A hollow capsule structure is filled with a transparent liquid-like or gel-like filler (). A front wall of the capsule structure is composed of a flexible lens front film (), and a rear wall of the capsule structure is composed of an optical lens () having a diameter larger than that of the flexible lens front film (). Under a state inserted into and attached to a capsula lentis, pressure variation of a corpus vitreum acts on the optical lens () to enable focal refraction power to be adjusted by utilizing swelling deformation of the lens front film ().
