Abstract
A method for treating an allergy by providing a pharmaceutical composition containing at leastextract and administering a therapeutically effective amount of the composition to a patient in need thereof. Also disclosed is a method for treating an allergy by first purifyingextract into at least one fraction, then providing a pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one of thefractions, and administering a therapeutically effective amount of the composition to a patient in need thereof. A method for alleviating symptoms of an allergy is disclosed. The symptoms of the allergy are alleviated by providing a pharmaceutical composition containing at leastextract and administering an amount of the composition effective to decrease at least one of an IgE and IgG2a level, whereby the symptoms of the allergy are ameliorated.
