Abstract

The invention relates to a method for processing the surfaces of optical workpieces () such as optical or eye glass lenses carried out with the aid of a tool () and consisting in holding at least one workpiece () in a work piece receiving support () which is rotatable around the axis of a workpiece spindle ('). The invention is characterized in that the workpiece () is received in the receiving support () in such a way that the axis of rotation () of the workpiece spindle is placed remotely from the axis () of at least one workpiece () and the axis () of the workpiece support is at least partially in a parallel position to the axis of rotation of the workpiece spindle.
