Abstract

Method of accessing components of an automated banking machine for servicing. A top housing cover is mounted in slidable relationship to the housing of an ATM chest or secure enclosure. In an operational condition, a front opening in the top housing is closed by an upper fascia. Removal of one or more fasteners allows the top housing cover to be slid rearwardly away from the upper fascia to expose various banking machine components such as a display, a card reader, a receipt printer, and input keys for servicing.
