Abstract
A self-dumping separator having a vertical axis of rotation and having a drum () into which a disc stack () made up of a plurality of conical discs () is inserted, a centrifuge feed being introducible via an inlet pipe () and a distributor () into the centrifuge space (), which is enclosed by the drum (), at least two or more fins () being arranged in an annular solids space () that is arranged radially outside the disc stack (), the clearance between the fins () and the inner wall of the drum () being at least three millimeters.
