Abstract

The present invention relates to the production of triacylglycerol in a transformed organism or host cell, by means of a nucleotide sequence fromwhereby said enzyme catalyzes the transfer of fatty acids from phospholipids to diacylglycerol in any acyl-CoA-independent reaction. The transformation of the organism or host cell results in increased oil content.
