Abstract
A coating apparatusincludes a base, a substrate support stage unitmounted on the baseand capable of fixedly supporting a substrate, a coating unitmounted on the baseand capable of discharging a coating material onto a substratefixedly supported on the substrate support stage unit, and a motor unitfor driving at least either the substrate support stage unitor the coating unitfor sliding on the base. The motor unithas a stator assemblyon the base. The stator assemblyincludes a plurality of magnetslinearly arranged such that opposite magnetic polarities of the magnets alternately change, and a pair of magnet holding membersandfor linearly pressing the magnetstogether from both the ends of the magnets.
