Abstract

A method for using a rewritable thermal label of the non-contact type which comprises recording and erasing information repeatedly in accordance with a non-contact method on a rewitable thermal label which remains attached to an adherend. The label contains (a) an anchor coat layer comprising a crosslinked resin, (b) a heat-sensitive color development layer, (c) a light absorption and a photo-thermal conversion layer and (d) an adhesive layer. The layers (a), (b), (c) and (d) are laminated on a first face of a substrate successively. The anchor coat layer is placed next to the substrate. The layer (c) is an outermost layer. The adhesive layer is placed on a second face of the substrate.
