Abstract

An engine is described having a camshaftformed of an inner shaftand an outer tubeboth of which rotate with respective groups of camsand. A drive train driving both the inner shaftand the outer tube from the engine crankshaft includes a phaserfor enabling the phase of at least one of the groups of camsandto be varied dynamically relative to the phase of the crankshaft.
