Abstract

The present invention relates to A method and apparatus for making a sand core () utilizing purge air through a core box (and') to harden the binder in the sand core () proximate the ejection pins (and′). The sand core () may be removed from the core box (and′) prior to drying the binder completely thereby resulting in an improved production rate of the sand core ().
