Abstract

A method, apparatus, and computer instructions in a data processing system for generating links. The present invention provides a mechanism for constructing a link in a manner that removes the need to rely on hard-coded strings. Generation of a page containing a link to a target is detected. A link is generated using parameters associated with the target.
