Abstract
A noise measuring unitmeasures a noise power based on an output from a digitizerand the amplification factor of a limiter amplifierwhen an output from a device under testis supplied for the digitizerthrough the limiter amplifier. Since the output from the device under testis supplied through the limiter amplifier, the noise component is sufficiently amplified, the carrier component saturates, and thus, the noise measuring uniteasily measures the noise power. At this time, the output frequency of the device under testis not multiplied, and thus, it is not necessary to use a down converter or a spectrum analyzer, the C/N ratio can be measured at a high speed or with a simple constitution.
