Abstract

A plastic pipeis a pipe utilized in a cooling water systems, and the bonding strength of each layer is heightened, and resistance capabilities of the antifreeze solution are enhanced. The plastic pipecomprises an inner layerformed from either a polyphenylene sulfide or an aromatic polysulfide, which is a denatured substance thereof, an intermediate layerwhich is a mixture of PPS resin and a polyamide resin, and an outer layerincluding a polyamide resin. The inner layeris formed such that permeation of an antifreeze, which has mainly ethylene glycol, is less than 3.0 g/mper day. The resistance capabilities of the antifreeze solution can be achieved by making the thickness of the inner layer0.2 mm or greater.
