Abstract

The toaster shell ( ) is open at the top, and is reinforced by a ring ( ) which is mechanically attached to the top edge of the walls ( ) forming the toaster shell. The ring has a 'U'-shaped cross-section which fits over the edges of the walls. The ring is made of a material with low thermal conductivity, ideally molded from a heat-resistant plastic.
