Abstract
A novel antigenic protein which is effective for stimulating antibody production in animals against the sheep scab mite, is disclosed. In cattle, administration of the protein provides protection from infestation by by eliciting an immediate-type hypersensitivity response and/or immunizing the animal against The protein is also effective for producing and/or binding antibodies to and may be used as an immunodiagnostic reagent.
