Abstract

A dial gauge ( A) has stem bush ( ) having a fitting ( ) fitted to an inner wall of a stem ( ) and having a predetermined clearance between a spindle ( ), a holder ( ) for slidably holding the spindle ( ) while securing a predetermined clearance against the inner wall of the stem ( ), and an elastically deformable connector ( ) for connecting the fitting ( ) and the holder ( ), whereby an influence of deformation of the stem ( ) and the fitting ( ) on the holder ( ) during clamping can be minimized, so that the dial gauge ( A) can be fixed to a supporting stand without deteriorating slidability of the spindle ( ).
