Abstract

The invention relates to a digital timer ( ) comprising a binary counter ( ) driven by a counting clock signal (Hc), the counter ( ) presenting a stabilization time after each counting pulse, and means for delivering a detection signal (DS ) with a predetermined value when a counting order (N) is reached by the counter. According to the invention, the timer comprises wired logic means ( ) arranged for detecting, at the output of the counter, a counting value (N−1) which is immediately before the counting order (N) in relation to the counting direction, and delivering an intermediate signal (DS ) with a predetermined value, as well means ( ) for sampling the intermediate signal (DS ) at a moment when the counter receives the next counting pulse.
