Abstract

An elastomeric mounting/isolation assembly ( ) having several annular elastomeric elements ( ), several rigid sleeves ( ), and a fastener ( ), in which the radial and axial spring rates are effectively de-coupled from each other such that changing one spring rate has substantially no, or little, effect on the other spring rate. The de-coupled spring rates can enable the assembly to better meet diverse considerations involving noise, vibration, and/or harshness, commonly known as NVH, on the one hand, and vehicle dynamics on the other hand.
