Abstract
The invention provides trmA methyl transferase (trmD) polypeptides and polynucleotides encoding trmD polypeptides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recominant techniques from strepococcus pneumoniae. Also provided are methods for utilizing polypepides to screen for antibacterial compounds.
