The switching means,detects a relative displacement occurring between the holder,and the collision detecting portion,and commands a driving system to stop the movement of the non-contact probe,or move the non-contact probe,in a escape direction. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the breakage of the non-contact probe,, the main body of the measuring apparatus, the work, and the like due to the collision.
