Abstract

The alloy is for making an infrared transducer. It is constituted by (In,Tl,) (As,Sb,) in which 0≦x<1 and 0<y<1 (where x and y are less than ½). On a GaSb or AlSb substrate, the transducer comprises an active layer of the alloy having a composition such that its lattice is of a size that is equal to that of the substrate material.
