Abstract

An optically active (R)-(E)-(4-substituted-phenyl-1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene)-1-imidazolylacetoni trile derivative represented by the following formula (I) or a salt thereof: ##STR1## wherein X represents 1 to 5 substituents which are the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group and a haloalkoxy group, provided that X does not represent a 2-chloro group or a 2,4-dichloro group; an antifungal composition comprising the same; and a process for producing the same.
