Abstract
The present invention relates to a highly transparent, sterilisation-resistant film, optionally containing polyamide, with elevated mechanical strength, which is thermoformable and heat-sealable, which film contains at least one layer of a polymer blend prepared from polypropylene (PP) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), wherein the proportion of PP in the polymer blend is 81 to 99.8 wt. % and the proportion of LLDPE is 0.2 to 19 wt. % and the LLDPE has a density of between 915 and 950 kg/m.sup.3, preferably of 925 to 940 kg/m.sup.3.
