Abstract

A composite material is provided for use in a vacuum thermoforming process, which material is easily handled and presents an aesthetically pleasing fabric-like surface. The composite material comprises an outer layer of nonwoven fabric comprising thermoplastic fibers capable of elongation upon the application of heat and tensile force so as to be readily conformable to shaping in the vacuum thermoforming process. The composite material further comprises an inner layer of thermoplastic film.
