Abstract

A photoreceptor useful for electrophotography and comprises (a) an electrically conductive substrate, (b) an electric charge carrier generation layer and (c) an electric charge carrier transport layer containing therein an electric charge carrier transport compound having the formula (1): ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.1 ' and R.sub.1 ' each are hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl, a linear or branched alkyl having a substituent(s), an aryl or an aryl having a substituent(s), R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.2 ', R.sub.3 ', R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.3 ' each are hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl, a linear or branched alkyl having a substituent(s), an aryl, an aryl having a substituent(s), an alkenyl, an alkenyl having a substituent(s), a heterocyclic ring or a heterocyclic ring having a substituent(s), R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 may form a ring with their adjacent carbon, R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.3 ' may form a ring with their adjacent carbon and R.sub.2 ' and R.sub.3 ' may form a ring with their adjacent carbon and, A is a trivalent, aromatic hydrocarbon group.
